St Patrick’s Technical College’s purpose-built facility is located within the industrial and economic hub of Elizabeth, part of the City of Playford, adjacent to Elizabeth TAFE and the Elizabeth Shopping Centre. The College is walking distance to the Elizabeth Interchange on the Adelaide to Gawler Central railway line, providing easy public transport links to Northern and North-Eastern Adelaide, the Barossa Valley and Lower North. St Patrick’s Technical College understands Year 10 is a crucial year in the life of a secondary student. Undertaking Year 10 at the College provides young people with the chance to engage in learning opportunities relevant to their needs, enabling them to increase their chances of successfully completing the SACE, gaining an apprenticeship and realising improved social and life outcomes. The College’s enrolment intake occurs in Year 10, Year 11 and Year 12. Students interested in attending St Patrick’s Technical College are required to complete an Application for Enrolment form and sit a Core Skills Assessment. Following this, you will be invited to an interview with a member of the College leadership team. If successful, a formal offer to attend the College will be made. We encourage families to enrol early to avoid disappointment.
In most situations it is possible to begin at the College in Year 12 and gain SACE credit for what has been previously completed. However, this depends on each student’s particular situation and the subjects undertaken. We are happy to talk to you about how it could work for you.

BYOD is a program where students bring a personal laptop, notebook or tablet to the College to use as their primary technological device. The College uniform has been created in consultation with local trade and service industries and is available from Totally Workwear, Salisbury. It includes a combination of trade and non-trade items and incorporates professional dress standards and WHS requirements. On trade days, and in the workplace, students wear an appropriate trade uniform, and depending on your trade, includes items like a high-vis work shirt, trade pants, chef uniform, safety footwear and equipment. Uniform information is provided to families once an enrolment offer has been accepted.
At St Patrick’s Technical College we believe fees should not be a barrier for families when considering the best educational option. We are committed to providing young people with the widest possible access to our College, carefully balancing affordability with sustainability. Families experiencing genuine hardship are encouraged to request a confidential meeting with our General Manager of Finance & Operations to discuss the available remissions, Government assistance, scholarships and grants. The College has an extensive work experience program. Over three years, all campus-based students are expected to complete a minimum of 20 weeks of work experience or work placement. Prior to commencement, the College encourages prospective students to undertake broad career exploration activities to assist in making informed decisions about potential career pathways. Year 11 and 12 students participate in a range of trade preparation VET courses which are offered as an integral part of the curriculum and contribute towards the achievement of the SACE. Trade preparation VET courses provide pathways into apprenticeships and traineeships through which students gain tertiary qualifications. Related Link: Trade Programs
Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s) are responsible for the quality of accredited training and assessment provided at the College and for the issuing of all qualifications and statements of attainment. Students who successfully gain an apprenticeship will either remain enrolled at the College, completing their Year 10, 11 or 12 SACE requirements as a School Based Apprentice or Trainee, or will choose to exit the College due to gaining a Full-time Apprenticeship. A School Based Apprenticeship or Traineeship (SBAT) is where students start working on an apprenticeship or traineeship (paid employment) while remaining enrolled at the College to complete their SACE requirements.
