Open Events 2017

St Patrick’s Technical College conducts a comprehensive program of Open Events each year. From Open Days to guided tours, please refer to the schedule below for the events on our 2017 program and mark the relevant dates in your diary today!

P-TECHP-TECH Information Evening | Wed 21 June, 7pm

St Patrick’s Technical College is South Australia’s first P-TECH school. Learn more about this innovative new program, supported by the Australian Government and Skilling Australia Foundation, and the industry supported pathways to further education, training and employment on offer for students in South Australia’s defence industries.

Northern Hospitality Expo | Wed 5 July, 1-4pm, Burton Community Centre

Hosted by the Salisbury Youth Council, the Northern Hospitality Expo will provide information for young people on pathways to employment in the hospitality industry. The event includes a cooking demonstration by former Masterchef runner-up, Callum Hann from Sprout, a light lunch and a free raffle.

Spend two hours with College Principal, Mr Rob Thomas, and other members of our Leadership Team, who will introduce you to St Patrick’s Technical College and explain how our unique approach has lead to almost 800 apprenticeships since 2007.

Find out how our new P-TECH program is linking StPatsTech students with employment opportunities in Defence Industries through specialist qualifications and pathways to further education.

National Skills Week 2017 | 28 Aug – 3 Sep

National Skills Week brings to life the positive messages, highlighting the talents, the skills, the career pathways and the value of apprentices and trainees across Australia to the wider public and employers. The week is dedicated to raising the status of practical and vocational learning.

St Patrick’s Technical College celebrates National Skills Week with a host of activities and opportunities for current and prospective students and families to interact with our specialist trades and technical school.

A full calendar of National Skills Week events and registration details will be available in June.

Thursday Morning Walk-through

A walk-through of St Patrick’s Technical College is conducted by a member if our team every Thursday morning during school terms.  The walk takes around 60 minutes and provides a great way to see just what a St Patrick’s specialist trade education is all about.

Parking is available directly outside our front door on Hooke Road.

Registrations for a Thursday walk-through is not necessary.  Simply arrive at our Administration area just before 9am.
